A dental x-ray can be any of the following:
- Temporomandibular Joints
- Cone Beam
These images are used to provide more information than a regular dentist’s bite-wing x-rays.

How long does it take?
Dental Xrays with the exception of cone beam imaging are performed at most QDI/Wave and Scan sites. Please see location guide for your nearest site.
Please note that a Medicare rebate and a health fund benefit may apply for these examinations. If there as a gap payment, which is the patient’s responsibility, you will be informed of all out of pocket costs at the time of appointment booking.
Your results will be forwarded electronically to your referring doctor and should be available within 24 hours.
